Commercial Manager Locations: London E14 & SE1 Salary from £45,000 to £55,000 P/A Benefits Package: Medical Insurance, Company car or allowance (£4,392.00) Specialism: Commercial Job Purpose Our client & large national contractor, currently have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager looking to develop onto the next stage of their career, to join their contract aligned team, based in London. As Commercial Manager you will act as the key point of support to the regional operations team, commercial team and client team on all commercial aspects for their largest Total Facilities Management single contract within their Commercial Business. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your existing commercial knowledge, whilst gaining visibility within a fast paced and challenging contract and division. You would ensure all contract activities are in line with the commercial model agreed for the contract, whilst assisting in the development and implementation of robust commercial and financial processes & procedures across the contract. Responsibilities: Implementation of efficient and effective commercial procedures across the contract including income recovery and invoicing, contract variation and additional works processes and processes to identify and capture of items over contract limit of liability Production of relevant contract commercial reports and analysis Provide commercial assistance to members of the contract operations team In conjunction with Commercial team, act a key commercial interface with the client team on any related commercial issues Ensure that contract operations team are aware of key contractual commercial requirements, and implications of non performance Alongside the Commercial team, act as a key point of support to the operations team with regards to any business improvement initiatives & contract commercial analysis Working with, contract operations, commercial, finance, supply chain and National Service Centre teams Drive efficiencies and cost saving Ensure all costs which are entitled to be recovered, are recovered from client in a timely and accurate manner Minimise and manage WIP on the balance sheet Close communication with Central Finance Function and where appropriate other Support Services (Procurement, Commercial, and Business Development & IT) Knowledge skills & Experience Previous Commercial Management experience within a commercial department, working centrally or within a contract Experience of Facilities Management contracts or a large multi-site operation within the service industry Previously worked on contracts totalling £10million + Previous knowledge of commercial contract models, eg. Cost plus, fixed price, shared savings, GMP, etc Capability to deal with a high volume of orders Experience of assisting with the development and management of commercial processes and procedures A degree/qualifications in a Commercial or Business related discipline is desirable, but not essential Accounting or QS background desirable Computer literate Excellent working knowledge of Excel, macros, pivot tables etc Person: A high degree of commercial financial and customer awareness Excellent numerical and communication skills Ability to thrive in a highly pressurised and fast paced, client driven environment Ability to think ahead, identify new opportunities and create new and innovative approaches to work related issues Demonstrates a determination, desire to succeed and a wish to progress and develop within a commercial role Interested?
