I have worked in the building trade since leaving fulltime education in 1983. Initially working for a painter and decorator and then as a bricklayers hod. I then spent a few years working in office refurbishment as a partitioner before finding employment with a sub contractor building conservatories. This is where I gained a wide range of building skills. Working firstly for a sub contractor and then as a sub contractor I specialized in building bases for hardwood and Upc conservatories. This work entailed a wide range of skills including foundations and drainage work brickwork plastering timber and screeded floors electrical supplies and outlets installing radiators and water supplies lead work tiling floors decorating reinstating patios etc. In 2000 I was offered work on new build sites working for a plastering company. This included dry lining plastering tacking tape jointing and screeding. I have worked in this field in the majority since then. I consider myself to be a true all-rounder capable of most building related trades.
