Census Coordinator The 2011 Census is fast approaching. We are looking for individuals who can lead and motivate a team to help make it a success. Specific locations Chattenden Cliffe Grain High Halstow Overview Ideal opportunity for a good communicator with line management experience and a sound knowledge of the local area Your chance to be part of something special managing and coordinating the census in your area Flexible working patterns a boost to your income and the satisfaction of helping out your local community Must have the use of (or access to) a motor vehicle for which a mileage allowance will be paid Need to be available to work between 7 February 2011 and 27 May 2011 On 27 March 2011 the census will take place across England and Wales. It takes place every ten years and asks everyone the same questions on the same day to give a complete picture of the country at the present time. As a Census Coordinator you will manage and coordinate a team of around 15 field staff to help increase the response rate to the census. A laptop and mobile phone will be provided to help you in your role and you will also receive training prior to starting the appointment. Skills required include communication leadership and customer service skills administration and It capability and the ability to work flexibly to meet deadlines.
